Eagles finish second at Rollins College Invitational
ORLANDO, Fla. – The Carson-Newman Eagles finished tied for second after firing a 294 (+6) in Tuesday’s final round of the Rollins College Invitational, played at Rio Pinar Golf Club. Three Eagles finished in the top 12 as C-N finished tied with host Rollins, and beat a number of nationally-ranked opponents, in the tournament.

Three Eagles finished in the top 12 as C-N finished tied with host Rollins, and beat a number of nationally-ranked opponents, in the tournament.
C-N finished with a team total of 877 (+13) in the 54-hole event.
South Atlantic Conference rival Newberry College won the tournament by 10 strokes at 867. Rollins matched C-N's total, while No. 13 Columbus State was fourth at 887, and No. 3 Lynn University finished at 890.
C-N sophomore Jonathan Kim-Moss (Mississaugua, Ontario) finished fifth. He fired a 74 in the final round to finish at 1-under (215) four strokes back of medalist Spencer Cole of Rollins.
Junior Gavin Hay (Glasgow, Scotland) and senior Liam Ashby (Dublin, Ireland) both tied for 12th. Ashby had the Eagles' low round of the day with a 1-under 71, while Hay shot his second 74 (+2) of the tournament. The two finished tied at 219 (+3), eight strokes back of the lead.
Junior Michael Horenkamp (Murfreesboro, Tenn.) shot his third 75 (+3) of the tournament to finish at 225 (+9) and tied for 31st. Senior Alex Coughlin (Jefferson City, Tenn.) closed with a 76 (+4) to finish in 34th with a total of 227 (+11).
The tournament marks the end of C-N's fall schedule.
