ROCK HILL, S.C. – Playing a big role in a four-game winning streak, Hayden Dye (Knoxville, Tenn.) has been named the SAC Player of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.
The senior notched multi-hit efforts in all four games last week, most recently tallying three hits including a go-ahead three-run home run in C-N's thrilling 18-17 win over Southern Wesleyan. Dye went 11-of-14 at the plate, hitting .785 and driving in nine runs in C-N's four wins.
The Knoxville native's big week puts her in the top ten in the conference in batting average, hitting .424 through the first 20 games of the 2025 campaign, good for ninth in the league. Dye's nine-RBI week brought her total to 20, eighth in the South Atlantic Conference.
Dye and the Eagles look to build on the momentum of a successful week, hosting Newberry at home at 1 p.m. for a doubleheader to open South Atlantic Conference play.
