Tarbet tied for lead, Lady Eagles tied for third after first round of Agnes McAmis Memorial
GREENEVILLE, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman women's golf team shot a 314 (+26) and is in third place after the completion of the first round of the Tusculum College Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Tournament on Tuesday morning at Link Hills Country Club.

The Lady Eagles are 15 strokes back of tournament leader Belmont Abbey, which shot a 299 (+11). West Georgia is in second after turning in a 313 (+25), while Lincoln Memorial is tied with C-N with a score of 314 (+26).
Senior Jessica Tarbet (Corryton, Tenn.) is in a four-way tie for the tournament lead after carding a 1-over-par 73. Wingate's Ashley Denton, Belmont Abbey's Michele Low and West Georgia's Sarah Ross also shot first-round 73s.
Melanie Manis (Louisville, Tenn.) carded a 78 (+6) for the Lady Eagles and is in a tie for 15th, while Jennifer Oliver (Knoxville, Tenn.) shot an 81 and is tied for 30th. Mary Tunnell (Memphis, Tenn.) turned in an 82 to finish the round in a tie for 38th, and Erica Ray (Maryville, Tenn.) finished with an 85 to tie for 52nd place.
The final round of hte Agnes McAmis Memorial Golf Tournament is currently underway.
