Kim-Moss tied for second, Eagles in fifth after first day of the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational
FLORENCE, Ala. – Junior men’s golfer Jonathan Kim-Moss (Mississauga, Canada) fired off a 142 (-2) for day one and the opening two rounds of the TVA Community Credit Union Invitational – good for a tie for second with Clayton State’s Frederik Lindblorn.

Kim-Moss shot a 71 (-1) in round one and followed that up with a 69 (-3) in the second round.
Senior Gavin Hay (Glasgow, Scotland) tied for sixth place after shooting 71 (-1) for both rounds.
Head men's golf coach John Minor said Kim-Moss and Hay have brought even-keeled play to Florence in both rounds on day one of the invitational.
"Currently, Kim-Moss and Hay are in leading the team with consistent play, which will hopefully carry over to improving our position in round three", Minor said. "Both players are in contention for an individual championship tomorrow.
The Eagles improved across the board from round one to two. Rafael Jackson (Rutledge, Tenn.) was 8-over for round one, but ended round two at an even par 72.
Michael Horenkamp (Murfreesboro,Tenn.) shot an 82 (+10) and a score of 76 (+4), while Nathan Hodge (Jefferson City, Tenn.) had a score of 88 (+16) for the opening round before ending with an 80 (+8) for round two.
"We need a strong final round to improve our position," Minor said, "After second round improvement by Jackson and Horenkamp, we should now have more momentum to finish in a higher place tomorrow."
After playing 36 holes Monday, the Eagles rest in fifth place which puts them 20 strokes behind first place team Columbus State.
Teams will take to the links Tuesday for the final round of the TVA Credit Union Invitational.
