Softball adjusts upcoming schedule to start the year
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman softball will now open the year on Sunday, February 8th, at the Big Region Preseason Preview in Johnson City with a second day of action on Monday, February 9th.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman softball will now open the year on Sunday, February 8th, at the Big Region Preseason Preview in Johnson City with a second day of action on Monday, February 9th. The event was initially slated to open on Saturday and Sunday, but the winter weather in the Volunteer State has shifted the start times around.
Additionally, the Eagles' midweek matchup with King for February 10th has been postponed to Saturday, February 21st, beginning at 1 p.m. King is one of the partners for the Big Region Preseason Preview at Winged Deer Park this weekend.
On the first day in Johnson City, Carson-Newman will tangle with Glenville State at noon, before closing the day with a 4 p.m. contest against Concord. Then, on Monday, the Eagles start bright and early, facing Davis & Elkins at 10 a.m., followed by a 12 p.m. meeting against Converse. All four games will be broadcast on the Eagle Sports Network at cneagles.com/live.
