C-N moves up a pair of spots ahead of top 25 matchup in NFCA Poll
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In the eleventh edition of the NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, Carson-Newman (37-8, 16-4 SAC) moved up another spot to No. 23.
LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In the eleventh edition of the NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, Carson-Newman (37-8, 16-4 SAC) moved up another spot to No. 23.
This is the eighth week that Carson-Newman has been ranked inside the top 25; they have been involved in the last ten, including being ranked for the last four weeks. The Eagles have peaked at No. 18 this season, marking the highest ranking for the Eagles since March 14th, 2022, when the team was also at No. 18.
Carson-Newman is one of two teams from the South Atlantic Conference included in the poll this week and is one of three teams from the region. No. 8 North Georgia (Peach Belt) is the highest, with Francis Marion at No. 12 and Lenoir-Rhyne at No. 19. Anderson sits just outside, receiving the most votes of teams not ranked.
The Eagles welcome the nineteenth-ranked Bears to Jefferson City for the regular season finale and Senior Day on Saturday, April 25th.
