JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman Associate AD for Media Relations/External Operations Adam Cavalier has announced the hiring of Rheanna DeCrow and Matt Scalzo to complete the on-air talent for Eagle Sports Network for the upcoming academic year.
"I'm grateful for Rheanna and Matt and their willingness to help tell Carson-Newman's uniquely Christian story," Cavalier said. "They are both talented, young broadcasters who will fit in well with the long history of prolific play-by-play voices who have taken up the microphone to call games for the Eagles."
DeCrow will be the sports information contact for C-N's indoor volleyball, golf and spring tennis teams; while Scalzo will manage media relations for softball, track & field and tennis in the fall as the two news graduate assistants for the athletic communications office.
Eagle fans will be able to hear both DeCrow and Scalzo on Carson-Newman Football broadcasts as pre-game, halftime and postgame show hosts. In some combination they will handle play-by-play duties for volleyball, soccer and softball, while filling in on C-N hoops and baseball broadcasts when there are conflicts.
