Fall Frosty Award Nominees: Male Freshman of the Year
From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Male Freshman of the Year. Saturday, we'll unveil the Female Freshman of the Year.
From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Male Freshman of the Year. Saturday, we'll unveil the Female Freshman of the Year.
The 13th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 28 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Mark Howard (Soccer)
Howard started seven games for C-N as a freshman, totaling 567 minutes on the pitch. He recorded three shots, one of which was on goal.
Wesley Thomas (Cross Country)
Thomas was a standout for the Eagles' freshman class of runners in 2025. Thomas came in first for the men's squad at the SAC Preview meet, finishing inside the top-20.
Javian Winston (Football)
Winston was Carson-Newman's top-tackling freshman on the league's top scoring defense. He finished the year with 20 tackles, half of which were solo stops. Winston also had six pass breakups on the year and a half tackle for loss. He had a career-best four solo stops against UVA Wise on Homecoming.
Dylan Frein (Golf)
Frein was C-N's third-best scoring average of the fall with a 73.5 and started in every tournament for the Eagles. The freshman logged four rounds at par or better and was the only Eagle to finish in the top 10 at a tournament. Frein is #227 nationally as a freshman.
