Ian Schoonmaker collects CSC All-District honors for men’s golf

GREENWOOD, Ind. – The sophomore's efforts in the classroom were enough to land him a spot on the Academic All-District At-Large team.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's At-Large teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom.
As a sophomore, this was Schoonmaker's first selection to the All-Academic team and the first for the men's golf team since 2023.
The Vancouver, Washington native played in 15 rounds for C-N this year with a scoring average of 74.6. His best finish of the season came at the Music City Invitational, where he shot his lowest round of the year with a one-under 69. He finished 14th in the event out of 87 golfers.
Carson-Newman Men's Golf returns in the fall of 2026 for the 2026 Savannah Lakes Invitational September 13-15.
