Cavalier lauded with Stabley Writing award

LAS VEGAS - Carson-Newman Associate AD for External Operations/Media Relations Adam Cavalier has picked up a district win for best coach/administrator profile in the 2026 Fred Stabley Writing Contest.
The results, announced by College Sports Communicators, came out Tuesday afternoon. Cavalier was recognized in District IV, comprising colleges from Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama for his story on Ken Sparks' nomination to the College Football Hall of Fame.
District winners advance to the national ballot, with national winners in each of the seven categories to be announced later this month.
This gives the athletic communications office five district awards in the Stabley Writing Contest in the last two years. This is Cavalier's third Stabley Writing Award.
