Men's Basketball v. Augusta:
Carson-Newman trailed by nine early after Augusta connected on 7-of-11 shots to open the game. Augusta led 48-42 with 11:10 to go following a Nonfon layup. The Jags would make one field goal over the next eight minutes while C-N rattled off a 20-3 run. The Eagles triumphed 66-58 over the Jaguars to get head men's basketball coach Chuck Benson his 400th career victory.
Women's Soccer v. Anderson:
Two seniors helped salvage a point for Carson-Newman in the final seconds on Senior Day. With less than 30 seconds remaining in the match, Alayna Corbitt took a free kick from beyond midfield that went near the six-yard box for Molly Bukiewicz to run after and head on past the Anderson goalkeeper to tie the match at 1 in the final seconds. Bukiewicz's 90th minute goal was the latest goal since Emilee Futrell's 90th minute goal against Wingate in the 2018 SAC Quarterfinals.
Men's Soccer at Wingate:
For the first time in two decades, C-N won back-to-back meetings versus Wingate, rallying from an early 1-0 deficit to win 2-1 on the road. The Bulldogs scored in the 6th minute to put the Eagles behind. C-N stayed with it and found an equalizer in the final seconds of the first half, seeing Mitchell Honcoop score a penalty kick goal. The Eagles took the lead 13 minutes into the second half on Maxime Wester's first goal of the season. Entering the game, C-N was 0-7-1 when allowing the game's first goal and was winless in 14 straight such games.
