Fall Frosty Awards Nominees: Female Athlete of the Year

The 13th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 28 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Emerson Ahmuhs (Volleyball): Ahsmuhs was the SAC's leader in kills and kills per set this season, ranking in the top 30 nationally in the category. As a six-rotation player, she was also top 10 in the conference in digs, earning her First Team All-SAC honors, as well as D2CCA and AVCA First Team All-Region recognition. Her efforts on the court helped her garner an AVCA Honorable Mention All-American nod, becoming the third C-N volleyball player to ever earn the recognition. With 404 kills this year, Ahsmuhs snuck into the top 20 all-time in single-season kills, landing 18th on the list. The California native stamped her name into an elite club as one of three Eagles in the last 20 years with 350 kills and digs. She was single-handely responsible for 25% of the Eagles points this season.
Maddie Hurst (Volleyball): Maddie Hurst grabbed her second First Team All-SAC nod this season after 13 games this season with double-digit kills. She finished the year 9th in the SAC in kills per set with 2.95, and led the Eagles in hitting percentage with a .332 accuracy clip. She was 5th in the SAC in attacking percentage and ranked 69th in DII. The sophomore broke multiple single game hitting percentage records. She aided Carson-Newman in hitting an astounding .616 against Tusculum to set a single-game record for attacking percentage where she notched the third-highest single-game hitting percentage in C-N volleyball history (.636) Just a few weeks later, she hit .652 against LMU. Then she landed 2nd in the record books with a .677.
Blair Cherry (Volleyball): Cherry earned a spot on the All-SAC second team for the second year in a row. Cherry navigated the Carson-Newman offense to success all season with 1,067 total assists in 2025. That mark was 3rd in the SAC and 37th in DII. This is her second season in a row that the junior has hit the 1,000 assist mark, and the 16th time in history that a Carson-Newman Eagle has tallied that many in a single season. Cherry officially moved into the 5th spot in career assists in Carson-Newman volleyball history in 2025. She is one of six C-N players to dish 2,500 assists over her career. She also is 19th among all active DII setters in career assists.
Annie Dziczkowski (Volleyball): Dziczkowski had a breakout season this year and picked up third-team All-SAC recognition for her efforts. The sophomore outside was explosive at the start of the year, grabbing All-Tournament honors at the Glenville State Tournament. Dziczkowski finished 16th in the SAC in kills per set with 2.63 and grabbed double-digit kills in 13 games this season. Dziczkowski was also a menace from the service line with 43 service aces, which ranked 2nd in the SAC. She averaged .45 service aces per set, which was also third in the conference, and the sophomore had 12 games this season with multiple service aces. Dziczkowski also set a school record with a .714 hitting percentage in the match against Tusculum.
Molly Bukiewicz (Soccer): Bukiewicz, the team leader in goals, earned first team honors as a forward after scoring nine goals and adding three assists to lead the team with 21 points. Four of her nine goals were game-winning goals, the second-most in the SAC this season and ranked top 30 nationally as well. She ranked top five in the league in both goals and points during the season. The Beavercreek, Ohio native scored goals in each of Carson-Newman's first seven wins of the season.
Annika Fend (Soccer): Fend became Carson-Newman's first all-region player since 2023, earning first team honors from the D2CCA and third team all-region honors from United Soccer Coaches. The All-SAC defender was a reliable piece of Carson-Newman's defense all season long. Her 1,401 minutes played were the most by an Eagle this season. She was also one of just two Eagles to start every game this season. Defensively, Fend was one of several consistent defenders that led C-N to seven shutouts in 15 games this season. Not only was her presence felt on the defensive side, but on the offensive end as well. The Herxheim, Germany native scored two goals and led the Eagles with her five assists, three of which came during league games.
Felicia Frick (Soccer): Frick's final season with the Eagles was a career year, scoring six goals and adding three assists for a career-best 15 point season. 12 of those 15 points were in SAC play, where she recorded five goals and two assists. Half of Frick's goals came in her final home game at McCown Field. She recorded the program's first hat trick since 2021 in a 4-0 shutout win over Tusculum. Scoring four more penalty kick goals in 2025, Frick ends her career a perfect 11 for 11 from the spot, shattering the program's record that was originally five by Lara Hallgrimsdottir during her four-year career. She ended her Eagles career with 15 career goals, 10 career assists over 65 appearances.
Jenna Pittman (Cross Country): Pittman wrapped up her junior campaign with multiple top-five finishes throughout the season. At the South Atlantic Conference Cross Country Championship, she placed 15th to earn Third Team All-SAC honors. In addition to her athletic success, Pittman was named the SAC Elite 23 Award winner. She closed the season with All-Region honors at the Southeast Regional meet.
Keirieonna Wilson (Cross Country):
The 2025 season marked a breakout year for Wilson, as she quickly established herself as one of the top runners for the Eagles' women's squad. She concluded her junior season with a 13th-place finish at the SAC Championships, earning Second Team All-SAC honors, and added All-Region recognition at the Southeast Regional meet.
