JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman opened practice to local media Saturday and showcased its preseason prep with a situational scrimmage.
All three Knoxville televsion outlets, the flagship station of the Eagle Sports Network Joy 620 and the Standard Banner were all present to catch a glimpse of a C-N football team that looks to make a second straight NCAA playoff appearance.
Carson-Newman has seven days of camp remaining before gameweek preparations begin for the second year of the Ashley Ingram era.
C-N kicks off at 12 p.m. on Saturday, August 30 against West Virginia State.
