Almond signs 50: Carson-Newman Football 2026 National Signing Day Central
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman head football coach Tyler Almond has announced the signing of 50 student athletes who will join the Carson-Newman football program.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman head football coach Tyler Almond has announced the signing of 50 student athletes who will join the Carson-Newman football program.
Carson-Newman signed 17 mid-year transfers, nine from Division II institutions and four from FCS schools. Those players join the program in the spring. The other 33 commitments are from high-school players.
The Eagles' 50 signees represent 10 states. Tennessee and Georgia are the two most-represented states, with 19 players from the Volunteer State and 12 from the Peach State.
Carson-Newman brought in 21 defensive players, 27 offensive players, a kicker and a punter. The most-recruited position was running back (both B and A backs) with 12, followed by defensive backs with 10
