ROCK HILL, S.C. – The conference office announced Friday afternoon that Emery Fisher and Anaelle Picot were selected to the South Atlantic Conference's third team.
This is the second year in a row that C-N has had two selections on the list of golfers. This is both Picot and Fisher's first time earning all-conference recognition.
Fisher, a junior, and Picot, a graduate student, have bounced back and forth between the one and two spots in the lineup this season. They have continually been critical cogs in the success of women's golf this season, who is ranked #28 nationally and has recorded three top-five team finishes.
Currently, the 2025-26 Carson-Newman Women's Golf team owns the best scoring average of any Eagles golf team since its inception, with a 304.3 average. Both Fisher and Picot are in the top three all-time at C-N for single-season low scoring average after this season. Picot has the lowest scoring average in a single season on record with a 74.8, while Fisher is 3rd with a 75.0.
Picot is the #49 player in Division II, having her best collegiate season. The graduate student has posted a 74.8 average throughout the fall and spring, three strokes better than the previous season. She has played and started in all 23 rounds this season for the Eagles.
She has been incredibly consistent for C-N, finishing at least top 50 in every field. She finished 46th at the first event of the season, the DII Southeast Regional Preview. Otherwise, she hasn't finished outside the top 25 in a tournament this season. She has also landed three top 10's in 2026, one of which was a top-five finish at the Battle of Hilton Head.
Her lowest rounds of the year came during the LeeAnn Noble Memorial in the fall when she shot a career best 54-hole total of -3. With her round of 69 (-3) at that event, she joins a group of seven golfers in C-N Women's Golf history who have shot below 70.
Fisher is very similar to the #58 player in Division II, and a 75.0 scoring average. From last season to the current, she is one stroke better. She has also played and started in all 23 rounds for C-N this season.
Fisher has been a rock at the top of the lineup for the Eagles, with just one finish outside of the top 30. She also landed two top-five finishes, including an individual title at the Savannah Lakes Invitational, where she beat Lee's number one in a playoff. She was five-under throughout the event, which was the lowest 54-hole tournament score in C-N history.
Both golfers have the opportunity to improve their averages and rankings at the SAC Tournament this coming week, which begins Sunday for 36 holes.
