Skydivers return to kick off Lads’ home season
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman (0-2) men’s soccer team hosts King (1-3) for its home opener tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. on McCown Field.

The lads' match last Saturday at Wingate was postponed due to lightning. The rescheduled date is set for Sept. 29 at 4 p.m.
King is coming off a 2-1 win against Emmanuel. On Sept. 10, the Tornados lost 2-0 at C-N SAC rival Tusculum's home field.
Last season, the Eagles defeated Tusculum 1-0 in double overtime. Sindre Welo (Norway) claimed the winning goal.
C-N returned from King last year with a 3-1 victory. Ross Frame (United Kingdom) put away two goals while this year senior Kristian Speake (United Kingdom) provided a goal and an assist.
The lads' suffered only one home loss last year regular season play.
A tailgate will start at 4 p.m. before the women's match at 5 p.m. The skydiving show put on by Skydive East Tennessee will begin around 7 p.m. and the lads will kick off at 7:30 p.m. Watch or follow live stats at http://portal.stretchinternet.com/cneagles/.
