C-N hosts Trojans for 2014 senior night

The Eagles are coming off a tough 5-1 loss at Alabama-Huntsville last Wednesday. Marius Staalby (Norway) scored the lone goal for C-N in the 87th minute, unassisted, for his fourth goal of the season.
Staalby is tied with Robert Wagner (Germany) for the top spot on the team with 14 points. Staalby carries four goals and six assists; Wagner has tallied seven goals on the year.
Anderson lost 3-2 to Francis Marion in double overtime on Wednesday. The first half saw no scoring; FMU put the first point on the board in the 59th. By the 70th minute, the Trojans had claimed a 2-1 lead with goals by Magnus Larsen and Andrew Lozano. Larsen has now has seven goals for the season.
FMU tied it up 13 minutes later before stealing the victory four minutes into the second overtime period.
Last season, the Lads toppled Anderson 3-2 twice. In regular season, the match entered overtime tied 2-2 with two goals for C-N by Ross Frame (United Kingdom) and points for AU provided by Paul von Hinueber and Andre Carle.
With a minute remaining in the first overtime period, then-senior and captain Matheus Bachi (Brazil) finished a deflection off Sindre Welo's (Norway) shot for the golden goal victory in favor of the Eagles.
In the first round of NCAA Southeast Regional play, the Eagles stole another 3-2 win from Anderson. Carle took a one goal lead for the Trojans in the 29th minute. Seconds later, then sophomore Nick Skoda (Knoxville, Tenn.) tied it up. C-N had a 3-1 lead by the 59th minute with a goal each by Frame and then junior Nico Noll (Germany). Martin Brain contributed AU's second goal in the 85th.
