RICHMOND, Va. – Carson-Newman swimming continues to hold its place on the national stage, as both programs appeared in the February Top 25 poll released by the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).
The CSCAA Dual Meet Poll is voted on by a committee of Division II coaches who evaluate teams based on dual meet results, performance trends, roster updates, and data from the SwimCloud simulator. While the poll does not predict NCAA Championship outcomes, it provides a national snapshot of each team's strength in dual meet competition.
On the men's side, Carson-Newman checked in at No. 22, holding steady from the January poll with 36 points. The Eagles remain firmly in the national conversation, positioned among a competitive cluster that includes No. 21 West Chester and No. 23 Missouri S&T, while sitting just ahead of No. 24 Delta State and No. 25 Henderson State. At the top of the men's poll, Drury University maintained the No. 1 ranking, followed closely by Indianapolis and Tampa, underscoring the depth of talent across Division II.
The women's program also earned national recognition, coming in at No. 24 with 21 points. Carson-Newman moved up one spot from the previous ranking and sits in a tightly packed portion of the poll alongside No. 23 Azusa Pacific and just behind No. 22 Biola. The Eagles finished ahead of No. 25 Wayne State, continuing a trend of steady progress as the season advances. At the top of the women's rankings, Tampa claimed the No. 1 position, with Nova Southeastern, Colorado Mesa, and Drury rounding out the top four.
