Eagles Go 2-1 On First Day In Georgia
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman beach volleyball opened its weekend with a 2-1 mark on Friday in Franklin Springs, earning wins over Emmanuel University and LaGrange College before falling to Colorado Mesa University.
"We got pushed today but I am proud of this team," said head coach Cat Collins. "We just played one of the top teams in the country and we were right there every step of the way."
Carson-Newman began the day with a dominant 5-0 sweep of Emmanuel. Doubles results were:
