Potts Sets Program Record with 90 Career Wins
With 90 career victories, Ava Potts now stands alone as the winningest player in Carson-Newman beach volleyball history.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman beach volleyball senior Ava Potts (Lake Placid, Fla.) closed out the 2026 season by etching her name into program history as the all-time wins leader.
Potts surpassed the previous record to finish her career with an impressive 90 victories, the most in Eagles beach volleyball history. Her impact extends beyond the top spot, as she also ranks among the program's best in multiple categories, including top three for best career doubles record and top five for both most doubles wins in a single season and best single-season doubles record.
"We are beyond proud of Ava and all her accomplishments," said head coach Cat Collins. "She has been the foundation of our program for four years, and we are going to miss her tremendously. Ava has consistently competed in our top two pairs and found incredible success. This is a remarkable achievement, and we are so grateful to have had her in our program."
Potts concludes her standout career with 90 total wins, solidifying her legacy as one of the most accomplished players in Carson-Newman beach volleyball history.
