Eagles Roll on Senior Day with Pair of Wins in Mossy Creek
Carson-Newman beach volleyball honored its seniors with a perfect Senior Day, defeating Berry 4-1 and sweeping Erskine 5-0 in Mossy Creek on Friday.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. –Carson-Newman beach volleyball celebrated Senior Day in dominant fashion, earning a pair of wins over Berry College and Erskine in Mossy Creek on Friday.
The Eagles (20-2) opened the day with a 4-1 victory over Berry before sweeping Erskine 5-0 to cap off a perfect afternoon while honoring seniors Ava Potts, Paige Halcrow, and Lucy Bartee.
Against Berry, Carson-Newman claimed four of five courts to secure the win. The No. 1 pair of Trinity Hafey and Paige Halcrow set the tone with a straight-set victory, while Ava Potts and Emerson Ahsmuhs rolled at the No. 2 spot. Camryn Ehlers and Addie Smith battled to a tight two-set win on court three, and Morgan Foy and Lucy Bartee added another point with a 21-19, 21-17 decision. Berry's lone point came at No. 5 in a three-set thriller.

The Eagles carried that momentum into the afternoon matchup with Erskine, turning in a clean 5-0 sweep. Hafey and Halcrow fought through three sets at No. 1, while Potts and Ahsmuhs dominated in straight sets at No. 2. Ehlers and Smith continued their strong play with another win on court three, and Foy and Bartee secured a three-set victory at No. 4. Kelcey Peterson and Madison Trondle closed out the sweep with a straight-set win at No. 5.
