Jordan made his first appearance of the outdoor season, after his All-American and bronze medal in the 60m during the indoor season, setting a pair of PRs. The sophomore took first place in the 200m at 20.95 seconds, and had the fastest qualifying time in the 100m, clocking 10.17 seconds, but did not run in the final.
Following this weekend, now holds the second fastest 100m at the Division II level this season, behind West Texas A&M's Issac Botsio, 10.09 seconds. Jordan's time is also tied for 10th across all divisions. His 200m time is the eighth best at Division II so far in the outdoor year.
This is Jordan's third SAC honor of the year, he received the distinction twice during the indoor campaign.
Freshman Cadence Dolgin was named SAC Outdoor Field Athlete of the Week last week.
Next up for Carson-Newman is a trip to Emory & Henry for the Blue & Gold Invitational on April 3rd and 4th.
