"I'm excited to get out to Kansas and see all the athletes compete. All the work we've done starting in September has been going towards this week," Showler-Davis said. "As always, the main thing is just going out there and having some fun and enjoying the process of being at the National Championships, and representing themselves and Carson-Newman."
The national event squad, which averages the top four marks in each event, slots the Eagles first in the 200m, with an average time of 20.96 seconds, and third in the 100m at 10.34 seconds on the men's side.

C-N's 4x100m relay team is fifth in Division II with a time of 39.63 seconds, which came at the Tennessee Invite on April 11th. At the SAC Outdoor Championships, the unit also took gold.
Larrame posted a school record with a 53.80-second time in the 400m at the Georgia Tech Invitational. She brought home a gold medal in the 400m at the SAC Outdoor Championships.
"They all seem relaxed, but excited, so I'm looking forward to it," Showler-Davis said.
